Help! Sinus' don't drain properly

A friend of mine has a 5 month old GSD female who is a rescue and spayed (if that's important). The pup has a reoccurring lump on her forehead that has the vet stumped. She has had a CT scan done and it was decided that the sinus' are not draining properly and the mucus/nose goo is backing up and collecting in her forehead. Has anyone had this happen and do you have and advice for managing this condition that I can pass along to her? Thanks!
