SummerGSDLover Thank you! I think he's good lookin'! Last night I tried again and he slept with, well, ON me for a few hours. Around 1am I put him in his kennel because I kept waking up with his mouth panting in my face. When I woke up with a six inch tongue laying on my cheek, I had to move him downstairs. Lol!

petite I can't wait to try Fawn on the bed also! Your boy is gorgeous and I envy an eight hour cuddle.

Gretchen That's great for you, especially if you all will get a good night sleep.
My husband would love our dog to do this, but she insists on sleeping in the hallway where she could watch all the bedroom doors and stairway.

KZoppa lol the dogs are allowed to sleep on the bed when my husband isn't home. If he's home, there's definitely no room on the bed for everyone.

volcano My girl is rude, wont settle in bed and gets up and walks on my face. Needless to say she sleeps in the crate.

First night sleeping together - been waiting five months for this!

Okay so I cheated. Yogi was tethered to me the whole night but it was amazing. He's seven and a half months. My husband wasn't happy having 75 lbs of lovebug between us but it was awesome because Yogi actually fell asleep with his head and front paws draped over my abdomen and his legs spoon style with my legs! Eight hour cuddle session? Yes please! He's always slept in his crate so this was a big transition. I've been trying once a month and he never settles down. I read a topic on "sitting on your dog" and applied it to bed and it really worked. He settled down within a couple of minutes and fell asleep. Our cat eventually stopped hissing at him so maybe she'll get used to him soon. He was hot and panted a lot so I turned the fan on and boom! Sleepy puppy. And it kept my husband from snoring all night because Yo would lick his hand whenever he did. So funny! I'm going to keep doing it until I no longer have to tether him. Love this dog so much.
