|Schaferhunde||If your dog is doing well on what she is on currently, then I see no need to switch.|

|ChetsDad||Our pup is almost 8 months and we still have him on Orijen LBP. Have been thinking about switching over to adult as well. We had our vizsla on the 6 fish and he did awesome on it. Stayed nice and lean, had a wonderful coat, and it cleared up some skin issues he had prior to being on Orijen. When we do switch it will be to the 6 fish.|

|sourdough44||I mix about 50/50 quality adult with puppy food. The reason is to not give excessive protein. It's been working fine. YMMV as usual. Our pup is 5 months, I've done this since we brought her home.|

Some people go for a year on puppy formula, so if its working, don't mess with it IMO.

|Doc||My pups loved the puppy food, hated the adult formula. I'd stay with what he is eating and think about changing at 6 months.|

If it were me at 4.5 months I would stay on the formula you are feeding now

Orijen adult for puppy?
Im about to order my next bag of Orijen and wondering if I should order the adult or 6 fish instead of getting the LBP formula again for my 4.5 month old puppy. I noticed it had similar ingredients ratios and slightly more calories.
The calcium ratio looks similar to me, but does that change when I feed more than the adult amount? Im feeding my him at least 4 cups a day of the puppy formula and he is nice and lean, so at least double the adult amount for his weight, so does that make the vitamin and calcium levels too high?
So just wanting to know if the adult versions are just as good or better for my puppy before I order?
