Life jacket has arrived! So excited, now all we need is for the temperature to rise by a few degrees.

Amurphy26 My Huntaway is a life saver too. We used to go out on boogie boards and he would swim out and pull us back in to shore. My friends kids loved it. I can't wait to get back out with Breagha, hopefully her life jacket will be here for the weekend.

Amurphy26 Huntergreen, you're right and the dog life jacket is ordered and awaiting delivery. We swim in depths where I am able to stand on tip toes at the deepest and the dog is kept at an arms length at all times. We did our research on safe swimming bays before venturing out and have a great local beach which is very safe. We're really lucky.

huntergreen op, as a former navy diver, i would not swim in the ocean with any dog unless they are wearing a life preserver. one wrong current and they can be pulled out before you can get them. and you had better be able to swim well enough to be able to swim out and bring them back.
