Did you ever go to a university teaching hospital, or stay with a local vet? I think a necropsy would help in future treatment plans(meds given), unless her case was so off the charts.|

|ndirishfan1975||Wanted to post an update for everyone who shared their thoughts and concerns on this thread. After 2 1/2 months of constant battling, blood work, X-rays etc...we made the agonizing decision to put Zoe down. She had a massive infection that we could not get under control and could not find the source of. She had dropped down from almost 70 pounds to 40 and could barely stand on her own. At the end I had to carry her up and down the stairs outside to go to the bathroom. The vet said our only other treatment option was exploratory surgery and given her condition I wasn't sure she would be able to make it through that. It was a horrible 2 1/2 months and in the end I think we made the right decision.|

|llombardo||Have they ran any blood tests for tick diseases or poison? How are the kidneys? I would also look into the pyometra, but she is young. My female got sick when she was about a year and they never found out what it was. Her eyes were so blood shot that there was no white, she had a fever, high white blood cell count, lethargy, no eating and drinking. She was tested for everything and nothing came back positive. I'll tell you it wasn't cheap and I went to two different vets. There was medication, blood work, xrays, etc.|
