|Oliver'smom||Last fall the local community pool was doing a closing the pool/shelter fundraiser for the dogs. Ollie was about 5 months old and hadn't experienced anything deeper than a kiddie pool in the backyard and a few very shallow streams. One of the dog stores had donated a ton of tennis balls for the pool party. As soon we we were checked in and the leash was off, Ollie saw a tennis being thrown into the pool and gave chase. He ran straight into the deep end not understanding it was water. I ran to the pools edge and started emptying my pockets thinking i was going to have to go get him because I wasn't sure he knew how to swim. But he bobbed back up and started doggie paddling around. He hasn't jumpy straight into the deep end of any pool since, but he does splash around in the shallows and know we know he can swim if he needs to.|

My Rebell really surprised me when I took him at 12 weeks old to Las Vegas to visit my dad. When we went into the back yard it was the first time he saw a pool. He made a bee line for it and dove in and swam around a bit. I called him and when he got close I fished him out. Toweled him off and as soon as I let him go straight back into the pool, he loves water.
