huntergreen could also have a yeast infection. careful with baking soda as it can dry out the skin.

kakarot Eeep. He has a vet appointment this Saturday so I'll mention it to the vet. x: We gave him a bath a few weeks ago.. but it's also been kinda warm and sunny here, so it could be anything..

wolfy dog I would bathe him with a neutral odor shampoo and then see if the smell returns. Watch him closely so he can't roll into anything smelly. If that same smell returns I would take him to the vet. Young GSD pups shouldn't have a strong dog odor.
Not to scare you but this was the first sign of WD's auto immune disease (I lost him to it) so that's why I am cautious about this.

kakarot Awesome, I'll try that. Just not too sure how he feels about brushing.. he never likes to hold still. Hahah.

Pax8 If my dogs get a bit smelly and I don't want to give a bath, I'll sprinkle baking soda on them, rub it into their coat, and then brush them out. Works well for me.

kakarot
dog smell

Any alternatives to getting my 4 month old pup to not smell like he's been running around in the sun for a billion hours? He's on Canidae, we try to not bathe him much since we figure it would make him smell more.. and puppy wipes aren't doing any justice.
