|Okin||He may have some hip issues or any other issues with being a german shepherd but they shouldn't be related to him being White. It is just a gene like you mentioned so it is not a health problem, well I mean being white isn't not the potential limp or being too skinny. Has a vet checked him out? There is also something called pano that can create growing pain in a pup.|

White German Shepherds
My dog had a litter of 8 pups in September last year and all were normal and healthy. (Both parents are pure German Shepherds) However, one was born white. I then began researching white shepherds and discovered that it is due to the recessive gene. He was normal and healthy just like the other pups. We sold all the pups except him and his sister. We've noticed now that he walks a bit funny and he is very skinny compared to his sister even though they eat the same amount of food. Am I just overreacting or should I be concerned and take precautions or do anything different with raising him?
