Really nice work Baillif.
Would you mind going through a quick and dirty steps on how you train this?
This is what makes sense to me:
Position through leash pressure and then marking for correct position which includes the dog not looking at you.

He looked like a pretty happy boy to me working like that. I am not a huge fan of IPO myself. Just not that patient to get things so choreographed and strict. It feels more a handler test than dog test. I wish I lived closer to French Ring, Mondio or PSA clubs. I am not a huge fan of the precision heel. The lean would be handy lol.
The pink frisbee just proves the manliness of you two after all. I love watching videos of other people working their dogs. I thought he looked pretty happy to be out there and definitely happy about that frisbee.

|Baillif||My mentor in the sport travels even further than that just to train certain portions of the exercises we don't have the means to train for here. Takes a certain kind of crazy.|

|Baillif||I really don't know. There is probably one in Las Vegas. You'd really have to hunt. There's a trial in Texas coming up fairly soon and one in DC before that.|

|Baillif||The toughness of it isn't in the excercises themselves it is the unpredictable nature of the environment you have to be prepared for. Anything can happen and does. The excercises come in random order the field setup is never the same. You can't pattern train excercises. The dog must be very clear on what must be done no matter what it looks like. Some excercises have multiple decoys all attempting to distract the dog from his objective and trying to make him fail.|

|Baillif||The decoying in French ring is where the sport really shines IMO. If I wasn't set on mondio French ring would be next on the list. There are so few people in this state doing either though.|
