KiwiWolf :O what a cutie!! May I ask what breeder you got your puppy from? I looked at many in Auckland and Waikato and settled on 2 breeders. Eventually got a puppy off Oakway Kennels 7 months ago

Thanks for the advice. Yupp we started crate training right away and 3 days in we haven't had a single problem in the crate. he goes in without too much hassle and only gets up once through the night.
We've also got him use to eliminating in the same spot outside and he is taking to it very well. So far so good

enh811 When we got our 8 week puppy we started crate training right away. We only gave her enough space in the crate to stand up and turn around. Anymore space and the pup will "eliminate" on one side and lay on the other side. Also, NO BEDDING. No blankets, towel or any kind of Matting at first. If puppy has an accident... Yes it's messy but they Learn REAL quick it's not fun or nice to lay in their mess. She did great. Also every time we put her in there we praised the daylights out of her and gave her a treat. She didn't like it at first but loves it now! Best of luck with your ADORABLE new puppy.
