A girl and her dog Its sounds like your pup might be better off inside. However, if I understand you correctly, the grass was laid some time after the parvo incident? And this was all 10 months ago... I know some won't agree with me, but I think you're in the clear by now. I would kennel the pup inside part time (at night, when you can't watch him/her) like you would in any normal situation. Limit outside time to pottying only until vacs are complete. Take walks on sidewalks or the side of the street. I'm probably in the minority on this, but given what you've said about the time and changes in the yard - I think you're fine.

His choice. He liked it outside.
My experience with my dogs is that when they know they can go outside and inside as they please, they are pretty content to be outside. But if the door is closed, they hate it being outside by themselves .

If you choose to kennel outside, do research on appropriate kennel requirements for dog houses, shelter, etc etc... access to fresh and clean water, and ensure the puppy gets the socialization and training it requires to mature into a stable, balanced adult.
I did get an Igloo dog house for my first dog. I thought he would use that while we were at work. He only went in it once! When I crawled in to show him how comfortable it was. He came in with me looked around and must have though..well hope dad likes it, cause I think it sucks!

He chose the living room couch with the slider open during the day!

TheDakotaShow Thanks for the insight. Im pretty sure she would chew up her dog house and get into mischief. Thanks a lot for all the useful info.

I'm a total newbie so im asking questions before I do anything dumb. I already brought a pup into a parvo home and don't wanna keep messing up.

JakodaCD OA I would go out and buy a steam cleaner, like a shark/haan,?? You can use them on laminate AND they have an attachment you can steam your rugs, it is 'supposed' to kill all bacteria, I can't say for sure on parvo, but maybe?
