Eiros I don't think that you can do much about a pup playing hard, that's what pups do! I think things like jumping over/down a certain height, running on slippery surfaces, prolonged runs, and running/playing a lot on hard surfaces are the things to be avoided... Maybe some else has some input. I try to avoid those things though.

Shade I allowed my pup to play as much as he wanted, I never forced him while on walks and allowed him to go at his own pace (which was full speed ahead, follow the smoke! lol). As long as he's enjoying the walks and keeping up easily I wouldn't worry about limiting him

GSDlover143 Alright haha. No I never force run him. Though I have seen a couple of people in my complex who are running with their GSD puppies younger than Zeus! I feel so bad.

How often?

My German Shepherd Zeus is 6 months old. I live in an apartment and I always take him out to play at parks and exercise him. But I am concerned about how often I should let him run around seeing as he is still young and I do not want to put strain on his joints. I have him in the apartment with me most of the time and I enjoy taking him out for his walks.
