JakodaCD OA I agree with LoveEcho, and it could also be a stress thing when your away..he may be a tad stressy, and you know what happens to US when we get stressed..

LoveEcho Go back to crating him while you're at work... start from the beginning and take baby steps.

He doesn't do it on purpose- they don't function on that level of, "I'm going to piss my owner off today!"

I cant transition my 18m GSD from his crate to full roam.

Its been a longgg slow process with Jax. He's is making progress in all aspects but way behind the ball for his age.

He is fully potty trained when I'm around, but when I'm not around its a different story. I have an unfinished basement that I've puppy-proofed so he doesn't have to stay in his crate while I'm at work. I cant get him to hold it while I'm gone. not even for a few hours. I almost feel like he does it on purpose. He will even go outside, but again inside once i leave. He also can hold it in his crate just fine.

He knows its wrong too. If he sees me smell it, and give him the look, he runs..
