Our first GSD, Bear, did that....only she was eating pancakes that were left in the middle of my aunt's table. My aunt was just busting her gut laughing while my mom had just been busy washing the dishes and talking to my aunt.
Thank goodness my aunt is an animal lover and humor could be found in the situation.

dogfaeries I would've taken a photo, but I was afraid the goofy thing would try to jump off the crate and knock himself out. The look on his face was priceless, though. He was staring a hole in me. Weird dog.

Russell has no sense

OMG, I just looked up from the computer, and saw Russell (all 75 uncoordinated pounds of him) standing on top of a 36" wire crate.

I had thrown a towel over it, and apparently he thought it was a solid surface. He was just standing up there staring at me. Of course, when he tried to move forward to jump off of it, the top started sinking a bit. He froze. I told him good boy, stay right there, and he stood there while I lifted him off and set him on the ground. I removed the towel.

Yikes. He's like having a huge clumsy cat in the house.
