|Twyla||Woolf went along about that same age/weight. Now at 3 1/2 yr, while tall for a GSD he is consistent at 69 lbs. Very lean but for his build, just about perfect.|

Might just be a late bloomer! Good for you for keeping him lean and fit... I feel like too many people think GSDs need to be 120lbs and just pack the pounds on their dog. Lots more time for growing He'll be perfect no matter what size he ends up!

|Contego||I'm in the same boat as you, my little guy is just now 5 months old and 27lbs. My vet says his weight and size are fine, but I did just find out he was the runt of the litter. Your guy could be too.|

|Shaolin||You could just have a late bloomer or just a smaller dog. One of Finn's littermates hasn't made it above 60lbs and he's a perfectly proportioned and full bred WGSD. If the vet says he's happy and healthy, I wouldn't be too concerned about it.|

Are you 100% certain he's purebred? Can you post a pic?
Otherwise, he's probably just small for his age/breed, or a late bloomer. Was he the runt, perhaps? How big are his littermates now?
As long as he's healthy and has the right temperament, I wouldn't get too worried about it. He's got lots of time for growing, too.

too small white shepherd
My 5.5 month old male German/swiss shepherd puppy weighs only 28 lbs/13 kg. I know that this is extremely small size for his age. I took him to the vet who said that he is perfectly healthy, thin and muscular. However, I would like to have the opinion of someone experienced with the breed. My puppy was the smallest of his nest. In all other regards he looks exactly as he is supposed to and behaves like the breed standard.
