|GatorDog||Aiden was 40 pounds at 4 months. Topped out at 80ish pounds at 8 months and has maintained it, for the most part. At 80lbs he is very lean.|

|NormanF||GSDs are finicky like cats. Its important not to let them get overweight, since hip dysplaysia is never a good thing. Keep stress off their joints makes for a happier dog and extends their life span.|

My dog weighed about 40 lbs at 4 months, she is now 70.
I found her growth really slowed down at 6 months.

I'm usually pretty good at shepherd weight guesstimation, I called the Dam's weight on the money. I missed Dad's weight by 15 lbs. He is so much taller and longer than Mom, it's hard to believe they weigh about the same.

|SoCal Rebell||I found this website Find Out Your Puppy's Adult Weight | Puppy Chart according to this targets my pup at 93 lbs.|

The weight chart I have previously seen shows the average male to be 41 lbs at 4 months so I thought that would be about average?
Unless the chart I'm looking at is outdated or incorrect. It's what I was using to see if Zoe was on track. I was concerned she was growing too fast. I've read so many horror stories of bad hips on here I am definitely trying to keep her trim.

Rebell is very lean for his weight, between his ribs and back legs I actually call him skinny. He is very active and very long, he can already get his front paws and head over our 30" kitchen island to look for food.

My GSD is over the standard height wise, he is 28-28.5" inches tall at the shoulders. He weighs between 85-90 pounds and he is lean, he could easily be 95-100 pounds but his hips are not great so I keep him lean so he doesn't have to carry around extra weight.
I never want him to reach 100 pounds let alone go over it.
Keep your dog lean, keep him at a healthy weight and don't worry about how large he will be, GSDs are not supposed to be 100+ pound monsters.
