MiraC You are right it not about taking her back.I'm hoping she got a wonderful home,I am very very concerned as I have her full sister and can't imagine Liv being put in a shelter!

agilegsds You are correct Jan, no one is trying to take her back. It would put my mind at ease to know she is part of a loving family living as an indoor dog. And she's going to need training, there are some things that can come through from one side of her pedigree. She was a handful as a puppy, her full name is Lunatic and there was a reason for that!

Stevenzachsmom Absolutely, what Sandy said. I didn't know who this girl was, when I posted her here. This is a very nice shelter, but they have seriously misread this dog. I have been in contact with them to stress that she needs a very experienced owner. Sadly, she was adopted out, a day before they got the memo. They said they had planned on only adopting her to someone with GSD experience. But experience to us and experience to them could clearly not be the same thing.

The shelter has my contact information, should Luna be returned. I'm hoping if the new adopter can't handle her, they return her to the shelter rather than passing her around. Correct me if I am wrong Sandy, but this is not about trying to take the dog back? It is about making sure she is safe and in a home where the owner is not in over his/her head.

agilegsds If anyone has any knowledge of where Luna is, please contact me. There are many people who care about her and want to know that she is safe and loved. If you have adopted her, I would be happy to help you with training advice. She is a high-drive dog and may be a lot to handle, especially for the novice GSD owner. You can send me a private message here, or else email me at: agilegsds@yahoo.com.

Again, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me! My only concern is Luna's well-being. Thank you.

MiraC I hope that who ever got Luna from the Shelter in Bowling Green will have a heart and get in touch with the guy whose wife turned her in there.I am heart sick over the fact that a person could take a beloved friend and turn her in to a shelter! I am shocked that this happens!

Stevenzachsmom Sandy deserves all the credit. She recognized Luna and contacted the appropriate people. Thank you Sandy. The shelter has our contact information, so hopefully, we will be contacted, should Luna be returned.

agilegsds I forgot to add that the breeder was involved in trying to get her back too. At least if she's returned to the shelter she has a safety net in place.

agilegsds I am so glad Stevenzachsmom started this thread. I don't come on the board that much anymore, but I happened to see the thread yesterday and recognized Luna. She is the half-sister to one of my dogs, same dam. Luna has a very nice pedigree, her sire is a prominent VA SchH3 stud. She is also schutzhund trained and has been shown in the German-style ring several times.

A friend tried to adopt her today but the shelter said she was adopted. It would have been a very good appropriate home. I can only hope Luna is in a good home.

She was surrendered due to a divorce. If anyone wants more info, feel free to pm me.

Thank you Stevenzachsmom for all of your help!
