burdock87 I'm already trying to name her. I have to have a female since hubby's male will eat another male. Silly boys don't realize they can work together and dominate the world. Ah well.

I'm half torn between a German name (Liesl) and a Japanese name (Sakura).

I'm looking into (obviously) basic obedience, and then some Schutzhund. If I can't do full Schutzhund, I want to do at the very least, tracking. Hubby is a cop, and they just lost their drug dog, so I think a dog that could search out drugs would be a benefit.

I'm still doing the happy dance. ^.^

trcy There's nothing wrong with buying from a reputable breeder. Post pics when you get your puppy.

Almost a new GSD Mommy!

My husband has a beautiful GSD (Bullet), and he has FINALLY told me I could get my own pup! I have been waiting 2 years for this!

I have a good breeder (I know a lot of you disagree with buying a pup instead of a rescue GSD, but hubby is very adamant). I know them personally, know their dogs, and am currently helping socialize some of their older pups before they are sold to new homes.

These dogs are the best dogs I have ever been around, temperament, confirmation, work-ability, intelligence...they have it all.

Now all I have to do is wait for their next litter and a pup of my own! (I realize that's no less than 4 months away, but I'm still amazingly excited)!
