|Ali B.||What a beautiful boy! He looks so comfortable and right at home it's amazing you've only had him one week! I bought the stainless steel portion pacer ball that I put in my dogs food bowls to slow their eating down. It works great. You might want to check into that or the special food bowls that slow eating down.|

Thank you all!
Would always rescue; don't personally believe in breeding.
Susan that is lovely - meant a lot! He was taken into rescue starved and beaten along with his mum. He found a fosterer who then adopted him but she no longer has the time for everything juggling children, horses and four GSDs. So he came to us
He is so beautiful! He reminds me of the GSD I had as a child.
Does he look a good weight? Will take him to the vets when husband is back (I dont drive) to check as he does seem slightly on the skinny side. I know the previous adopter left all four dogs to eat their food together and couldn't gurantee they didn't steal it - so he does rush his food (I've managed to sort that by turning his bowl upside down and stuffing the edges) and wondering if that is why he is a tad skinny. Or maybe that is just him, given his past as well.

|Jessc760||I love his coat. I have never seen that type of hair on a German Shepard before. Is that a "dog fanny pack" that he is wearing, that seems convenient for walks/hikes.|

|Susan_GSD_mom||So very, very often when you open your home to a rescue GSD, you become astonished that someone could have allowed such an amazing animal to get loose/run away/become 'inconvenient', whatever. The longer you have them, that feeling increases. And the ones who came from a hard life just seem to show genuine gratitude the rest of their lives. The two I have now were not 'easy' rescues, they each came with baggage. But it is gratifying to watch as they come out of their shell, they blossom, they become what they were meant to be, instead of what someone beat into them.|
