Melina He and I were attached at the hip before this happened to me, but it seems like he knows now that I need him more than ever. Like I said, he doesn't leave my bedside, day or night...You would think it would get boring for him, needing mental stimulation!

He's so patient with me too, since I've replaced my camera, I take pictures of him from my bed (I finally went outside to take pictures for the first time in two months though) and I tell him to stay...Staaaaayyyyyy. Haha. He must think I'm looney. Oh, I love him.

llombardo I wish I could take a picture right now of my group. I'm surrounded. It doesn't matter where I go, they follow...I just adore them

Mister C I am continually amazed at dogs' ability to understand, accept and empathize with disability whether it be physical or mental, long- or short-term.

Thanks for sharing another touching example of this.

Kahrg4 Aww look at those eyes. Pats to Koda and well wishes to you for a smooth and speedy recovery! Glad you've got such a great pup to help get you through.

Aren't They Amazing?

Every single day since I've been home from the hospital now after my accident (Which is almost a month now), Koda hasn't left my side. I'm pretty much immobile and anchored to the bedroom because of my foot, and Koda doesn't want to leave my bedside. My Mother will call him for breakfast/dinner or to go outside and he's reluctant to do so. It's sweet. I love my boy. Shepherd's are amazing...
