RubyTuesday CC, the picture of Bianca as Big Bad Wolf dressed as Grandma is priceless. And those ears make the picture!

RubyTuesday I'm betting that with filling out & maturing her ears won't look so outsized. IF I'm wrong, well beauty comes in all sizes, including ears.

Note that right after I had my daughter I was visited by close friends, a husband & wife. I remarked that my daughter looked just like my ex but had *my* ears (prominent). The husband cooed to my grrl that there was nothing wrong with her precious ears. His wife shrugged & said, "Her hair will cover 'em."

I found his response very sweet & her's hilarious but Mom made me FURIOUS when she suggested to my daughter at the age of 14 or 15 that perhaps I'd get her plastic surgery as a b-day present!!! (Her ears weren't great but they weren't really bad either). Defending herself, Mom suggested it was a *terrific* present, while I insisted that helping her to feel good about herself despite less than perfect ears was a better gift. My grrl laughs about it today & is glad I didn't get her the surgery.

Mell4now Thanks for the reassurance, and all your dogs are beautiful. I'll tell Greta not to be so self conscious about her ears anymore lol ... @ ruby Tuesday, she's 9 months old.

SummerGSDLover People make comments like that about my pup. I just brush it off or say, "Yeah! We don't even pay for satellite anymore." They laugh and walk off.

Chicagocanine Some GSDs just have bigger ears. I never minded people making comments about Bianca's ears, I'd just reply that I guess she never grew into them. People often thought she was a puppy and I think part of it was the ears.

Or I guess you could say, "The better to hear you with my dear!"
