Sarah~ The vet said it's just a sore from the constant licking most likely out of boredom and some more exercise and a cone until it heals and he will be fine. Otherwise he is in perfect health

They asked me if they could post a picture of him on their wall, when he was going into the back and he walked past a mirror in the exam room he stopped and was just fascinated by his reflection lol. He started giving his reflection kisses and didn't want to walk away so they took a picture of him since he was being so cute and sweet.

MaggieRoseLee Looks like it's now a hot spot thing. Be interesting what the vet says.

If it is a hot spot, I've heard shaving the fur around, using Gold Bond powder to dry it out, and maybe wrapping it up for a few days to keep from licking may help.

Good luck! and here are more ideas to try

Sarah~
Sore on leg

Eko won't stop licking his leg. I haven't seen him chewing, and he is on flea prevention so I don't think it's that he's itchy. Does this look like one of those sores dogs get when they lick their legs out of stress? It's dime sized, on top of the joint above his left paw.

(P.S. He has a vet appointment in 30 minutes, so don't worry about that I am already on it )
