|sechattin||I've never had any problems with any deer, elk, rabbit, duck, pheasant, etc. for raw feeding. The only thing I don't feed is wild hog/javelina. I was warned against it by my own game processor supplier who told me he had problems with parasites in hog type meats even after he froze them so he just chose not to risk them. So I just took his advice however many years ago that was and have stuck to it ever since. For safety, I deep freeze all game meats for at least two weeks before giving them to my dogs.|

Sounds good, if you can get all that yummy stuff at a good price, I'm sure your dog will benefit from the muscle and organs.
Not sure about parasites and wild game, hopefully someone here will be able to help you here

Found a Processor
Does anyone have experience with gathering scraps from a wild game processor? I found a guy that'll give me scraps like stomachs, livers, hearts, other organs, antlers, etc. I've been feeding raw mostly from the grocer and this is the first chance I've had to get game for a good price.
Also, does the stomach of a deer equate to green tripe, or will I still have to order that online? No one carries it here.
Does anyone find that parasites are a problem with 'real' wild game? Are there any other issues to look for when feeding non-factory processed meat/scraps/organs of this sort?
