I'm sorry for your loss I too wanted with all my heart to try and save him... but felt that there was really nothing that could be done. After I got home and looked into the procedure he would have had to go through, I was glad I made the decision I had.

Thank you to everyone once again, it's really nice to be able to speak with people who know what it's like to lose a dog... and that understand they were more than just a dog. Don't have many people outside my family that understand why we were hit so hard by his loss.

AJmom Hi am so sorry for your loss. I lost my sweet AJ at 13 1/2 in September. It takes time to get over the loss. I still cry almost daily and can not talk about him without tearing up again.

Unfortunately we had to put our boy down last week, his spleen ruptured and he had massive internal bleeding... Vet said she was almost certain it was cancer,

Loneforce Hello and sorry for your loss of your handsome boy

KZoppa wow he looked a lot like Riley. Our boy we had to have put to sleep last year was a GSD/BC mix, black with the white on his chest. Seems to be common for the cross.

Sorry you had to say goodbye! That's never easy.

You'll find some people here have Shiloh's.
