|Abby142||My girl also has those little bald spots, but some of hers are also kinda crusty, almost like a scab. They seem to get worse in the winter and better in the summer. I also started added fish oil and vitamin E to her diet and it appears to have had a really positive impact! The spots have shrunk and they aren't nearly as crusty as before.|

|Germanshepherdlova||My dog had bald spots on his ears a couple years ago. The vet did a scrape because he thought it could be ear mites but none were present. Not sure what caused it but the problem resolved on its own.|

Hm... could be alot of things. Not sure where you live (helps if you go up to the User CP in the narrow black strip along the top and put your GENERAL location in, so it shows up like my Poconos stuff to the left of each post)...
But if it's in a cold area and your heat is drying out the house (low humidity) that may be the issue. So upping the humidity and adding oil to the food may help.
But, it would be other things so if you are living in Hawaii (not winter there!) and/or have any doubts the vet can do scrapings and give you better answers.
Good luck! and welcome to the forum...
