misslesleedavis1 Iam going away for valentine's, 2 nights alone with no dogs or kids. My mom is staying with kids and the dogs and I feel terrible about leaving them (them being the dogs not the kids) lol

juliejujubean I know they will be fine but i think it is more so me that will be miserable without them ;-)
And the cabins are only done on a week basis versus 2 nights. Graham can't take an entire week off :-( but i have a friend who is willing to watch my dogs pending they get along. My female gets along great with Buster but we have not introduced him to Charles yet on the owners request that they fix their male first. Buster was a stray in Spain and we don't know how he will react to our intact male (Charles is only a year old and wont be castrated until at least 2 years of age) worst case scenario we board Charles and Dia gets an overnight with her spanish boyfriend ;-)

doggiedad did you ask them if you can have a cabin in exchange
for a room? maybe they'll give you a discount on the
cabin since you won a free room.

MichaelE I haven't been to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in a long long time. You are going to the most beautiful part of Germany.

I know Im a dog person when... (moved to stories)

I won a 2 night stay at edelweis lodge and resort in the alps... And the first thing I thought of was "i don't want to leave my dogs behind" It is not a dog friendly hotel, they do have the cabins that allow dogs, but those are weekly rate, and I will definitely be enjoying the free rooms. I know I can board them but it feels to me like the first time you leave a child at day care. Lol. I am super excited about this vacation. We need it for sure!
