BasRouge France: never heard of it, except in TV shows. For us frenchies, football is soccer and nothing else. we know pretty much nothing about "american football"

ozzymama It's popular here, not national holiday popular As a country for every 1 Canadian station, we get like 5 American. I grew up in a football crazed house and have never married a football fan. I dated a couple retired CFL players, but I kinda hate football after every Sunday sitting while my father flipped between 2-3 games at a time. Yes, we had other tv's, but the cursing and yelling at the tv made it hard to listen to what you wanted to watch For me, it's just another Sunday!

Lol....that is what I was thinking....we have never watched a sport....we spend our evenings and weekends, summers and free days traveling, hiking, biking, and beaching it....never watching tv....our cable has been disconnected for 8 years of our 16 years married. Our 15 and 13 year old...rarely sit down to watch something...when they do it is a documentary or travel show. Music is a different story....they have over 400 records and about the same amount of CDs....
All of our friends question how we live without cable...iTunes sells the shows we like and we don't have to pay for stuff we don't like, and don't watch.
I guess both of us being under 40 and having two teen girls...people expect tv to be a larger part of our life..

Syaoransbear Pretty popular, although not as popular as the grey cup. Maybe that's just because I'm from saskatchewan and our rider fans are insane.

I personally don't watch the superbowl and no one I know is having any superbowl parties or anything, they are just leisurely watching it.

FrankieC Huge event in Canada. The mad rush for snack foods and booze was very evident today. Looking forward to it

Muskeg Football is not a game, it's a brain injury.

selzer It's always just another Sunday in NE Ohio.

Maybe that's because we have the Browns.

If there is someone l really like or really hate in, I will watch it. But usually the game is pretty boring. And it is usually teams like the Seahawks or Denver that I really don't care for, but no longer hate with a passion.

So glad the patriots got knocked out. And the Ravens. And the Bengals Yay!!!!

There's always next year.

Sundays I have have my sister's girls. And besides teaching them everything about dogs, I am trying to teach them to be Brown's fans. It's a little depressing at times though.
