lawhyno The only way to know early on is to observe the hair on the back of the ears. If it's long, most likely it'll keep growing and be a long coat. But that doesn't guarantee it's a long coat… sometimes their coat can adjust and become normal after a few more weeks. But if the hair on the back of the ears is short, they're most likely not a long coat.

Mary Beth The long coated puppies will have a more fuzzy longer coat than the short coated puppies.
