DJEtzel Very unlikely. While she sees you do it, she has no motivation to do it herself. That's where training comes in.

blackshep I'm sure you could train your dog to do it, but I doubt your dog will offer to do it without training.

My dog would gladly help take the balls OUT of the bucket for me though. lol

Should I expect my dog to learn this through observation?

When I'm out playing ball I usually have about 25 balls to go around and collect - I usually throw them all to the bucket and then put them in with my hands.

This is something my dog sees me doing over and over again; so, I suppose the consistency is there?

Should she start helping me automatically seeing as they love to have a job?
