Rocco and Sneaker became best buds, but at first when he tried to play in the way that boxers do, by batting at her with his paws, she just looked at him like "what the HECK is he DOING???" After awhile she figured out he was just playing, and she'd start to box right back.

MadLab thanks for asking questions that allow me to explain.
First everyone, I don't let my girl just fend for herself when at a dog park. I'm always near her and protect this kid with all 240lbs of me.
So my job as her protector need not be questioned.
She has grown up with my two English Cockers and 500lb dauchshund.
She plays great with them and loves playing with small dogs and puppies.
Plays ball well, goes ape over her flirt pole and likes rough housing with me.
Has a solid protective drive and solid obedience.
Bloodline is a who's who of German champions....not show bred.
Her issue is with large dogs but not ALL large dogs.
She often finds another playmate and they have a ball BUT first sign another animal is agressive she drops.
I asked for and surely appreciate everyone's advice and Misha is my first GSD so happy to hear from those who know the breed.
Hard to say. Need to see video of it. I will say this though. The dominant submissive thing is normally over simplified. Dogs are more give and take in their relationships and who is running the show can easily change at the drop of a hat without conflict.
This is what I was wondering, makes sense. With these two it seems like situation dictates. Thanks.

|Baillif||I love it. It has taken its toll though. The girlfriend caught me barking and panting in my sleep the other night which is just weird.|

|Baillif||If you guys ever have the opportunity to see large groups of different dogs interact it really is fascinating. The neatest thing I've noticed is how dogs will teach each other different play styles. There is a mal that has a very unique play style of all the other dogs. Very quick head shakes and a stomping style play bow that is really abbreviated. He looks super stiff and moves with lightening quick jerky movements. Other dogs despite never having done it before or seeing it before will begin to quickly emulate him within 1-2 minutes of being introduced to him.|
