ZoeandMoe We bought a lil doggie bed for Zoe's crate. We were the, She is so cute she shouldn't be sleeping on plastic type parents. That lasted 1 day. Came home to shreds. I thought, awwww, poor girl just missed us. I Went and bought a nicer one and that lasted 1 day also. Then I got smart and decided she is just as cute sleeping on plastic ...

Sp00ks We have a couple crates but have been using a 30"+ undivided and an old folded up blanket in case he has an accident. Two weeks today, no problems, no accidents.

Note: My wife lost him for a couple of minutes yesterday, he was in his crate asleep. Yes!!

Springbrz We put a full sized bed in the crate and the divider still fit over it. Then we put a puppy pad under old towels for easy cleaning if there were any accidents. We were pretty fortunate that our girl didn't start tearing at the towels and pad until she was around 3 mo. By then she was going through the night so we just took out the pad and towels. She has never tried to eat her bed.

Good luck!

mego yeah, my girl likes just the bare crate. I had an old towel Ihad slept with for a week before bringing her home and a blanket I sent to the breeder that smells like her siblings in there for a few days..she shoved them into the corner and preferred to lay on the cold plastic :P

LaRen616 I have never used bedding in my crates. I worry about puppies/dogs ripping it up and eating it.

Great Dan but i never used a divider. maybe you could
a bed that will fit in the divided area. my dog didn't like
any bedding in his crate.

Shade I start with either a towel or small blanket, easy to remove and clean if accidents, puke, etc gets on it. Also much less for them to eat if they feel so inclined

Once they've proven trustworthy I usually give either a full size blanket or bed in the crate depending on what the dog prefers.

Crate beds

We should be getting our puppy in the next few months and I am starting to order stuff now.

When looking at a bed for the crate can I buy 1 big enough to fit the hole crate even thou I will be using the divider?
