Thanks for that haha. YES I do want to save for the 1911, that is one quality, beautifully crafted firearm, and dependable too which is more important! I tested out the .45 and it's like butter! The recoil is so smooth and barely noticeable compared to other .45s. Also, I can't wait to move out of California. I miss TX gun laws but wherever I move, I hope it is more gun law friendly than California. The laws here are ridiculous!

I listed what guns I own.

I said the gun I WANT is too expensive.

I asked if anyone lives in Cali to discuss firearm laws.

What part are you arguing?

who knows.. But I know you should save and get the 1911.

I grew up in San Diego. I've been held up at knife point and at gun point. In both of those situations, my having a gun or a dog would have had no different outcome, except, I may have ended up dead- I may have killed someone - My dog may have been killed - Others may have been killed. Any law enforcement officer will tell you this. Get a dog to bark and let you know there is an intruder on your property (period), the rest is up to you. Carry a gun and you are not totally comfortable with it (AND THE LAWS), don't have one.

I've been in some bad situations and it was my mind that kept me from being dead, not a gun or a dog. What's going on?
