Ha ha! Never said your analogy didn't fly. Your analogy does apply in this case. I was going alittle deeper into it.
My point being, SL (street bikes) and WL (dirtbikes) are to opposite extremes. They both do what they were designed to do well, but just like SL and WL dogs, Motards or even dual sports which are......a blend of the two, do what they are intended for well. The difference between the SB and DB's and Motards or dual sports is that really, the SP's and DB's are only at home or do well in thier respective enviroments where the Motards and Dualsports are versitile in all relms. Same goes for WL/SL breeding. I think it can be the best of both worlds if properly done. JMO. For what it's worth.
But as I've mentioned in other posts, GSD's are all from the same cloth. They originated from the same beginnings. Certain traits were chosen through breeding to come up with other lines. All GSD's still share the same traits, herding, prey drive ect. It's thhrough the select breeding is where you get the lines of opposite extremes, SL or WL. Correct me if I'm wrong, but at least thats my understanding.
Taking two great things can also make something better. Look at Reeses candy or PB&J. I know, bad analogy.

Or you may get the best of both worlds...like if you mixed up a stripper with handy man or women...good on the pole good at installing it too.

|debbiebrown||i think it all depends on what people are breeding for. certainly to get a true working dog for specific tasks breeding SL into it wouldn't make much sense. i have seen some nice dogs SL and WL mix that do have drive for normal activities etc. i do think someone needs to really know what they are doing breeding the two lines, i am thinking they would be more for family pets and regular working activities like agility, tracking, OB etc, etc. i can't believe most mixes like this would even begin to qualify for military, Sch, etc, but i am sure there are exeptions to every rule.|

LOL Money can't buy you common sense
You might get some over priced show dog with your lack of experience and wads of money.
And you get to rant on forums how rich you are, and money may make you arrogant and condescending considering your posts.

I've also heard ignorance, stupidity, vengeance, and wrath speak a lot.
You're probably dog smart, people told me that. Do you have trouble with people? Try to figure out the $20k post. Work through it very slowly as if you were training a puppy. PM some friends and ask them for help about the $20K post. If you're really that awestruck over the mention of $20k that you have to stalk me from thread to thread and keep bringing it up, PM me and I'll show you in one lump sum what it cost to buy your trailer.
Like I said, people that never had money don't know what it can actually buy.
I would say I'm flattered with your stalking, but I'm really not. It's weird.
