|Melina||Sorry guys, I'm still here, alive. I'm out of the hospital, after having been there for a month. I'm waiting on a skin graft...Until then, I've been having surgeries on my foot every other day Pretty darn awful|

Glad you're on the mend. But OUCH!!!
Your camera equipment might be covered under your homeowners. If you file a claim with them, they will then go after the driver as I understand it.
For the future - invest in some highly visible gear for yourself. My favorite company went out of business a few years back but bike gear is a good source for visible & reflective clothing. I recently picked up a like new bike vest and a cannondale jacket - both black and yellow with many reflective parts. Hard to miss day or night. When I drive at night I try to make sure a reflective jacket or vest is with me because if I run into car trouble at night and need to get out along side the road I want to be seen.

|Melina||I was 5 feet from the sidewalk...I was technically in the street, but he was driving too fast its been determined. We're seeking legal aid for compensation.|

|ksotto333||I hope you heal swiftly. Even with ambient lighting if you are dressed in dark clothing, non reflective it is difficult to see people. We have many joggers in our part of town that insist on running in the street (sidewalks are available)in the dark, they are so hard to see. I don't know how you were dressed or where you were standing, just saying what I see often here, and the reality of it.|

|Syaoransbear||Glad to hear you are on the mend. I'm a little confused though, did he drive up on the sidewalk or something?|
