|selzer||Your general location might be helpful. Also, what you want to do with the dog. There are several different lines of GSDs, and some may be more suited to you than others.|

If you're going to buy a puppy, look for a decent breeder, not a back yard operation.

I wouldn't pay $200 bucks for an unregistered puppy. Sorry. Registration is the begining basic thing when it comes to breeding. Obtaining registered dogs for breeding is not hard to do. Without registration, you cannot make good decisions based on matching the pedigrees, in fact you can't guranty that you are not breeding father to daughter or brother to sister.
There are other things that breeders ought to do. But a breeder who is putting together dogs with no papers, they aren't worthy of $200. If no one buys the puppies, this yayhoo won't put them together again, and again, and again.
Your breeder has completely bypassed all the steps when it comes to breeding dogs. The bitch looks a bit nervous in the pictures. She is crouched. The bitch is paramount to good temperament. Half the genes come from the sire and half from the dam, but the dam also imprints the puppies and teaches them/socializes them from early on. If you have a nervous bitch, then your pups are likely to also have some issues.
I would totally pass on the litter. Let him get no buyers and dump the litter at the pound. Then hopefully rescue/fosters will step up for them. But the key is that the breeder of these dogs should not benefit from the breeding.

|Juan||Well I was looking to get a puppy from the liter. The breeder said the mom was register, to something in which I cant remember the name of it. Ill ask him again once I see him again, he also said that the dad(all black) is full blood german shepherd but never registered him. He is selling the puppies for $200 each.|

Hi content GSD if not pure. Are those white legs and feet on the bitch?
It sounds like you want to know if they are pure because you are going to get one of them if they are. If being a pure GSD is important to you, then buy one that has AKC papers if you are the US. SV papers anywhere. Canadian Kennel Club in Canada.
Do not be fooled by wannabe registries like the ACA, Continental Kennel Club, and so many others. They are not worth the parchment.
If the breeder says they're purebred, but cannot give you proper papers, just say no.
If you just want a pet, you don't care whether its a purebred, and these babies are free. Then go for it.
