LynnPritchard Love the names of your other dogs! Well done on working on an unusual name. We had thought to name our most recent pup "Brigand", in the context of sea pirates/bandits, as we live on the Chesapeake Bay. However, we ultimately opted for "Trappe", which is the name of a town and creek on the Eastern Shore where we keep our boat.

DaniFani "Yooper" not "Upper"....gosh, I need to move back to Michigan...I was born and raised there, been living on West Coast for 6 years and I can't remember "Yooper" lol!

Aw, "Nox" was the name of my GSD that passed away last summer. I love that name.

DaniFani I don't like "Dag" sounds like someone from super Northern North Dakota or Michigan Upper trying to say "dog." Makes me really want to say it Daaaaag, and emphasize the "a" Lol. I like Grimm a lot. It's so hard to name them, luckily mine came named and I added a little twist. Whatever you decide I'm sure he'll live up to it! :-D

readaboutdogs You might try "think baby names" you can type in "night" or "dark" or whatever and it will bring up names with that meaning!

Lilie, I agree. I think that is what has kept us on the fence. However, it looks like we are going to go with it at this point. I don't dislike it. I really like the meaning behind it. The family seems to accept it and it's different.
