I did not know about them up until a month or so ago. They are neat looking but not my fave of all the colors.

Why do you say that? I'm not sure why they would be any less likely to be health tested than any other breeding dog?

KZoppa I think they're interesting looking. I would have one in the future if one were offered to me. I cant fathom paying what one would pay for a GSD of desirable coloring according to standard though.

dawnandjr Like others have said. Not a fan of breeding for color. Not where your main focus should be in breeding program.

huntergreen google and learned a little, wouldn't be my first choice for coloring, but wouldn't be a deal breaker either.

Bridget Don't like their look so much. I would have just thought it was a mixed breed if I didn't know better (not that there is anything wrong with that).

as with ANY colour specialization you have to watch that important other considerations , more importantly character and temperament , are not diminished or neglected .

volcano Its tough to get a good gsd out of any color, much tougher out of "rare" colors because they are bred for their color, not temperament or health. The pedigrees are sketchy since they generally arent titled, and if they have health tests then its highly unlikey their parent and grandparent had them so its still a crapshoot.
