PRk9 the rest hasnt helped much still limping but when i massage and touch around her hips and legs she doesnt show any signs of pain, i will be taking her to the vet this week. she has been drinking water and eating a bit of her food so im thinking its just pain... hope its nothing serious.

doggiedad i don't think having a new baby will make a dog limp and not eat.
did your Vet x-ray your dog? did your Vet test a stool sample
or an urine sample?

Harry and Lola I'd leave her on adult food. With the limping, you mentioned you have seen a vet, if the vet is advising rest then definitely rest her until she stops limping.

I took her out yesterday for that reason but the snow is up to her tummy in our usual field and very cold, and she is limping lots and not putting pressure on her leg so I've been advised by the vet to let her rest. So exercise is out for now

Puppy acting strange

Hello all, my GSD is 11 months old and usually has a big appetite, i have been giving her adult food (acana) for the last week since our one and only pet store ran out of her food and still hasnt come in, since yesterday she seems sad but still has her energy but refuses to eat. this morning she still doesnt want to eat and since yesterday she keeps limping and lifting her rear right leg to walk, ive rubbed and touched and she shows no sign on pain. no diarrahea and still wants treats. any thoughts? this week has been stressful for her since we brought home a new baby to the home.
