David Winners I would avoid any harsh corrections unless he is really biting hard. Just remove your attention with a verbal correction or leave the room. Work on engagement with you through marker training, crate training, showing him what he is allowed to to. I tether new dogs to me for the first few weeks and work on all these things throughout the day.

Stress of moving to a new home

Hello, I just got my dog about a week ago and you can tell he misses his owner. He just turned a year old and pretty obedient other then jumping and nipping which the previous owner wrestled with him so i am currently correcting that. Is there any suggestions of stress relief for dogs? Is there anything I can be doing to ease him into this transition?
