New Member from N.C.
First off I would like to say that I have enjoyed surfing around and checking out the site. I am a fulltime police officer and former police canine handler. I handled 3 police canines over my career. I have handled and assisted with training these dogs since 1996 and still assist with training and consultations on training, handler selection, team reviews, etc. My last canine is a male GSD that was called "K-9 Lagos" though not his registered name. He was imported from Budapest. He is dually registered in Europe and recently received his foreign registration with AKC.
It has been a dream of mine to breed my male to continue his strong working lines, which I have began recently. I could not breed Lagos as long as he was working, so I had to wait until his retirement. I purchased a beautiful AKC registered female early this year after meeting the owner and the dog and deciding that she would be a good fit. She has the same temperament and high prey drive that I was looking for, as well as beautiful markings.
I recently bred the pair and have the "days old" pups here now. She had a small litter (3) which the veterinarian believes is because of my male's age. I am glad that I got to breed him and get a pup off of him before he was too old to stud.
You can go to my Facebook page at Tactical Canine Breeders and Consultation if you would like to see some pictures of my extended family! We are very excited to say the least!
