howlk9 Good for you and even better for her. Talk about happy holidays!

brembo That coat is GSD, no question there. I see the "power-hump" on the snout too, that little swale about an inch back from the tip of the nose. Rear end/waist is GSD too.

If she can shed on command, then she is pure GSD.

middleofnowhere Just what most others have said: Looks like PB GSD to me. There's a lot of variety in head shape and size in the breed. My 4 yo weighs about 55 lb. My 12 week old is going to be a heck of a lot bigger. I had one PB bitch that was hard to keep under 100lb.

So - may all continue well with Molly and your family. I do have to laugh when people call anything with prick ears and tan and black markings a GSD X and anything BLACK a lab X.

So enjoy that lab!

Loneforce She is a beauty. Great rescue! I would say she picked you and you will have many great memories with this girl. Congratulations!

Sunflowers Congrats. She seems to have a good temperament, so far.

As for being a mix, I don't see anything in there except GSD, and I look at a coat like that one every single day

As far as the shape of the head - ears - I think the perspective on the photos is off - look at the size of head in relation to body....sort of like one of those odd mirrors that make you look distorted .... in some photos it is odd, and in others it is fine

GSDs have longer more narrow faces and larger ears. That's why I see more Kelpie.
