BellaLuna Bella is a complete wimp she jumps and has to be right next to me to feel safe. She goes into a frenzy ha-ha.. After an hour she starts to settle but will rufuse to go outside to potty.

Gatticus isn't bothered one bit it goes unnoticed, I really hope it stays that way lol because we don't need another wimpy gsd in our house..

MichaelE Lisl is good with loud and sudden noises. She's fine with gunfire, both pistol and large caliber rifle.

The first time she heard fireworks she barked. I had to tell her it was OK and she finally got over it.

She's fine in heavy traffic too.

Nigel Mine are good with guns, fireworks, chainsaws, kids shrieking etc... Glad the fireworks were a non-event for you.

dawnandjr My dog is sound sure, meaning she does not respond negatively to loud noises. She was bred to be sound sure, and produces that in her pups. Part of the breed survey and Schutzhund trials is the firing of a gun (blanks) for testing of being sound sure.

Xena9012 My pup Xena is pretty good with all noises like fireworks, lawnmowers and hair dryers.
She hasn't been afraid of any loud noises yet

Harry and Lola yeah they are pretty loud and I did wonder for a second how he was going to react. Ive had a bitch before that didn't cope too well either, was horrible watching her struggle with the noise.

I really think it is important for us humans not to react, if I react to something, my dogs do to.

Zeeva Horrible experience with fireworks :c

Zeeva has jumped our fence due to them. She whines in her crate. If I'm not with her she is a danger to herself on firework days...

Harry and Lola
Fireworks

Last night my almost 3yo male was exposed to the sound of fireworks, was quite close by to our house, and very loud - lasted for about 10 minutes.

This was his first time with fireworks and I was really impressed with him. We were sitting in our lounge room, just relaxing and when the noise started he immediately looked up at me, I ignored him and the firework noise, to his credit he laid back down and went to sleep. I was so happy with his reaction considering how loud they were and he has not been gun tested yet.

It is really important to expose your GSDs to a variety of noises, what are other people's experience with fireworks or really loud noises?
