Hey MIKEY, can you do us a favor? Go up to the narrow black strip along the top. Click on the User CP, then add your general location. The KW thing has just gotten confusion from all over the USA and since it could be anywhere in the world.... will then show up to the left of every post like my Pocono thing.

Have you seen this for the biting --- > http://www.germanshepherds.com/forum...tips-help.html

It's not uncommon for GSD's to love the taste of poop in general and their own in particular. Cleaning up the yard and beiing there to teach a 'leave it' seem to work the best.

YES GO TO PUPPY/DOG CLASSES!!!! Best way to socialize and start up with some structured training classes!!

Good luck with your new puppy!

Gunner used to do that, I think I've seen sombody else posted that theirs did the same thing, you have to make sure you clean it right away. It might be hard especially since they can be real sneaky haha.

ddrGSD88 My boy Gunner is 14 weeks old, and likes to nibble, but he used to bite real hard. When he did that I say "NO" and stop petting him. He gets the message and he stopped biting hard.

Harry and Lola Is a puppy thing for sure, actually is an adult dog play thing as well, I'm just now watching my 2 fully grown GSDs playing, mouthing and biting each other (they have bite inhibition) and they are loving it. Is perfectly normal play, however if you don't like it (and I don't blame you) I had great success with putting Vicks Vaporub on my arms and ankles to stop mine from mouthing me. The smell is so strong and yucky, they hate it and as soon as they go in for a nibble the smell stops them and they eventually learn to not bite you. Just DO NOT put it on your puppy or make your dog lick or eat it.

FrankieC To clarify for people who may have suggestions .. k-w is Kitchener-Waterloo?

Uniballer GSP is German Shorthaired Pointer.
GSD is German Shepherd Dog.

How much blood is he drawing? Are the grips full and calm?

Around 4 months is when most dogs begin teething.

4month GSD biting

Hi guys, I got my gsd (Sam) at 6 weeks, he is now 4 months and a bundle of joy. He listens extremely well, but im having a problem with his biting, he gets alot of exercise, has lots of toys for his teething. Is this something I should be concerned about or is this just his puppy stage and he will grow out of it?...He generally likes to "bite" when we are petting him. Show we enroll in classes? i live in the k-w area, what would be a good place to go? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
