MadLab 1 Leave the light on.

2 Put dog in a crate or in a secure room like your own until he gets more used to his surroundings.

3 Get the dog more used to his name and tell your son to call his name when he barks and see if that makes a difference.

4 Practice in day light with your son getting in and out of the loft. Have your son call the dog and give him a treat. Say the dogs name and 'here i come' and get out of the loft and treat the dog.

The dog will get used to it.

misslesleedavis1 Thank you for all the wonderful feedback, now i have another question, he is great with the kids..but when the lights go off he becomes mister guard dog and will not allow the oldest (who has a loft above the garage) to come down for pees, he barks like a mad man at him and pursues him i dont think he would bite him but he does look as though using the bathroom is a bad idea, its easily stopped with a correction which is awesome except when i am asleep and jackson needs to come down, is this a matter of him being more social with jackson? should i send the two out for love walks? I am at a loss here on how to make tyson go "oh its just jackson everything is fine" i should add that jackson can come and go as he pleases when it is not night time,

Saphire If your getting solid stools now I doubt your dealing with Epi. You should start to see some weight gain, slow is better.
