Stosh Stosh won't eat out of a bowl either but it's because of an injury to his eye and he doesn't like putting his face into it. I feed him in a glass pie plate.

I do. Either in her crate or right next to it. When I bring her to work with me she gets fed in the dining room

My parents' GSD mix does that too! He's 8, done it all his life. Weirdos.

ladyb I don't know why, but my dog has done various things like this, all of which passed very quickly and without my intervention at all! She went through a phase where she would pick up her bowl and carry it into my LIVING ROOM...of all places, dropping kibble as she went...it's over now

Pup won't eat out of bowl

She eats her food but won't eat it out of her bowl, I have to put it on the ground to get her to eat. It doesn't matter to her if it's on carpet, tile, linoleum, grass, whatever. I've tried stainless steel, ceramic, and plastic bowls. She'll eat the cats' food out of their bowls but not her own?? It's not a huge concern of mine but I'm kinda just curious as to whether or not any of you have experienced this or have an idea why she won't eat out of her bowl.
