JustJim I've been using one of these, off and on:
Nite Ize NND-03-19L Nite Dawg Light Up Dog Collar, Red Led Orange Webbing, Large - Amazon.com Nite Ize NND-03-19L Nite Dawg Light Up Dog Collar, Red Led Orange Webbing, Large - Amazon.com

It works well for spotting dogs in the dark. If I lived in a city, I'd have one on each dog I walked at night. They are better than a reflective collar when it comes to being noticed.

volcano I was playing fetch and hid in the prairie grass. Next thing I hear her coming and get bowled over. I thought I had a broken nose or something she hit me so hard. Now when I hide I yell when I hear her approaching.

Wetdog ---------" Dogs can see really good at night, right? Right? "----------

At least 3-4 times better than you. Probably more.

David Winners I use these for night training and off leash romping.

Dogs see far better at night than we do. They are naturally nocturnal hunters.
