I had an "evil" name theme going, I had 2 cats named Chaos and Wicked at the time. I knew I wanted a black male GSD and I wanted a strong, different name and I loved the song "Hero/Heroine" by Boys Like Girls so I named him Sinister. His registered name is Sinister Black because my mom thought I named him after a Harry Potter Character but the character's name is Sirius not Sinister. I figured it sounded good together and he is black so why not.
My new pup is named after a Harry Potter character though.

Our 9 year old Ozzy was born shortly before August 17th 2003, a day that will go down in Infamy as the day that Ozzy Osbourne sang "Take Me Out To the Ball Game" at Wrigley Field in Chicago. The breeders, watching the game with the whelping basket in view, noted that one of the puppies became very vocal during the slaughter of the song (I wish I'd had a howling puppy to distract me). They also noted that the puppy was considerably more melodious than Ozzy Osbourn, and a dog name was born.
Our new pup is Trinity's Blackjack, Jack for short. "Trinity's" is a tribute to the breeder, "Blackjack" was the name of a beloved GSD of my wife's from 35 years ago. He's living up to the memory.

|RipleyCWynn||My husband and I are big nerds. We originally were looking at a male GSD who we were planning on naming "Captain Jean-Luc Picard", but the owner decided to keep him at the last minute. When we found our girl we knew we had to have a nerdy name for her, but one that was hard core enough for a GSD - so we named her after the most awesome, tough female character in the Sci-Fi world: Dr. Ellen Ripley from the Aliens franchise. We just call her Ripley I'm trying to convince my husband to get another dog that we can name Newt but he's not on board with that yet...|

We had another thread similar to this before, if anyone's interested:

My first dog Kenai was named after a character of mine I came up with when I was in middle school. My golden is named Lupin Myles after another character I've been working on since high school.
My current shepherd was named Lujah because her registered name is Surefire Hallelujah, but I didn't like it, so I call her Leia instead because her grandsire on one side is Obi-Wan Kenobi. :3

|Damianblade||I dont really have an exact reason, but my GSD's name is Charli... my one niece suggested it and I didnt want too girly of a name for my GSD lol. I kind of wanted to name her Sam (after the dog in I am Legend) but thats what my last dogs name was, and people said it might be a little strange lol|

Rina is the female, this was her name give by the breeder. We were going to use the call name Katarina, but Rina is much easier to yell on the field lol
Male is named Vladimir, no particular reason, he has half czech lines and we wanted a czech name and this is what we liked best. His registered name is Cade.

My lab mix is named Jessie. My husband named her.
My GSD is named Yogi Bear (He responds to Yogi, Yogi Bear, Bear, and YoYo). Lol I'm not sure why I named him that. My husband wanted a cool name like Zeus but I wanted something unique that no one else would call their dog. Plus when we brought him home he looked like a little bear cub.
