I've tried Wellness Large Breed Puppy but my GSD had Chicken problems so had to stop
I have fed my dog Wellness Large Breed Puppy since she was 10 weeks old. I thought it was a good food until recently. I have 15 months old GSD who has just started itching and shaking her head, more so after eating chicken to top off her dry food. It has been hard to find a new food that doesn't have any chicken in it. Finally, today I found Earthborne Holistic Grain Free, Meadow Feast. It is limited ingredient, lamb meal. I tried Canine Caviar Wild Ocean, for a month and even though her coat looked great, the shaking didn't stop. Plus since it was very high calorie I had to feed her less food. She was not that happy about that and went around trying to find every little thing she could. So now that the bag is gone I am trying this new food from Earthborne. Has anyone tried it and what did you think?

Here is the info:
Wellness Pet Foods are a division of Old Mother Hubbard Pet Products. Dry foods are manufactured in a company owned plant in Mishawaka, Indiana. American Nutrition is the manufacturer for making Small Breed Adult formula. Canned Foods are made by Menu Foods. A percentage of their ingredients are purchased "Internationally" which could mean China. Also, they do use some GMO ingredients.
I'd still go with Acana or Fromms!

Diamond manufactures the Wellness LB puppy kibble. Diamond has had a lot of recalls in the past and this certain kibble was part of it. I'd be concerned about that fact alone. It's not the worst kibble but also not the best.

Wellness Large Puppy Thoughts
Thor will be 11 weeks on 10-29-13 and the couple we got him from was feeding him Puppy Chow We have slowly switched him over to Wellness Large Breed Puppy and were wondering if anyone has opinions on this brand and type of food? Or any suggestions on what to have him on? Any feedback is appreciated!
