follow up question --
ok now 2 things have me wondering...
1. I lowered her bowl for feeding....read so much on not using elevated bowls....and
2. I had been wetting her food down before she ate and again reading up on how wetting the food down is not good for them..I stopped doing that
DO YOU THINK? either or both of these could have had anything to do with it? I have been racking me brain wondering what could be the cause of the sudden throwing up. Because other than that..she's playing...still wanted to go out with her soccer ball...and other than resting ( I allowed her more access to the house this week)....she is taking advantage of "couch time"....she's acting normal except for that puke this am.

|Shade||It could be a fluke, 1/2 cup is pretty little so I would go ahead and feed lunch at the regular time and keep an eye on her. If she throws up again today I would fast her tonight and then put her on a bland diet of overcooked rice and either chicken or ground beef for a day or two to reset the gut.|

9 months old and throwing up...
This is going to sound bizarre but Roxy threw up for what I think is the first time since we brought her home as a baby.
She was retching and heaving and threw up what looks like a good 2 undigested meals. Most the kibble was still in kibble form ( sorry yeah it was gross)....so do I worry? Or ride it out here and wait till she eats at noon?
We have had the same eating/play schedule since we brought her home. 1 hour before and after meals before any kind of vigorous play. 1 cup of BB large breed puppy food in the am. 1/2 cup at noon, 1 cup at supper time and a little plain yogurt and peanut butter in the day sometime. (treats for training)...
am I to assume that all dogs throw up once in awhile? I'm used to the cats hacking up every other day but this is my first experience with a dog.
* do I wait until noon to try and feed her...or do I give her a little now. I'm sure her stomach is empty after all of that.
