Congrats on doing so well in school!!! IMHO it isn't unusual to switch your goals for a career as you mature ... at least your goals are all in the health related field so you're really being pretty consistent.
Sorry you're still finding bullies to be problematic, I wish I could help you. It seems like bullies are getting some pretty bad press so hopefully it might start putting some social pressure on them to stop acting mean and conform more to social norms.
Glad you decided to come back and update us on how you're doing.
Also ... CONGRATS to your mother!!!

Patience is a virtue.. You will get where you are going when you arrive. Most of the fun in life is the quality of the struggle we put up to arrive at various places throughout our lives. Be Honorable, Moral and Ethical in all that you do and the world will be your oyster. I got disabled in 2009 and have lost my kidneys and my ability to walk, but I suit up and show up every day just to piss off those who said I wasn't gonna make it. You will get there when you are supposed to, don't rush or force the situation, allow it to happen and it will be far better than you ever imagined in your wildest dreams. Trust me I learned this the hard way and it shortened my enjoyment of life considerably. Keep at it and strive every day!!!! You can do anything you set your mind to, even the Prez of the US if you want.

I sometimes check out your site. I can't wait to see who you are going to breed late this year!
I still remember the things you told me about german shepherds and dogs. I still want to be a breeder, but it's going to be a VERY long time. The great thing about it is, as a dentist, I'll have enough funds to run a breeding program.

An Update for the members who remember me and helped me
I joined this site years ago and posted a LOT of threads and questions. I want to say thank you to the members who posted in those threads and helped me understand dogs and german shepherds better. I also want to say thank you to the members on here who helped me with other non dog topics. Thank you and I hope you are still active here. By the way, I see this forum has over 200 people online right now. What an achievement for any forum!
The last time I was active here, I was two classes away from applying and getting into a two year dental hygiene program. Something bad happened to me that has something to do with my mental illness and now I am back home.
Fortunately, there is a 4 year university a few miles away from home. So now I am commuting back and forth in pursuit of my first degree, a bachelor's degree. After I earn my bachelor's, I will apply to the state's dental school and some schools out of state.
My midterm grades were 2 As and 2 Bs. My GPA is a 3.55 and I will need to pull it and my grades up and finish this semester strong. I am only 2 years away from my first degree. A lot of my community college classes transferred so just a little bit more.
I am also currently a part of a honor society, the predental club, and plan on joining the karate club next semester. I am also shadowing dentists and doing volunteer activities.
I still get bullied, but I made a few adjustments this week. I am able to handle it better, but some days I have bad days and some days are good.
I am not able to study the way I want to. I try to study 7 hours a day, 6 days a week but after 2-3 hours I am just so tired. I think it's my medicine, it's hard to get up in the morning and I can sleep for 10 hours and want more.
I know I've switched careers a lot. I went from veterinarian, to nutritionist, to dental hygiene, to dentists. I keep in that it's common for college students to change their minds, but it's time to knuckle down. I could do all 4 of them, but I choose dentist and plan to stick with it this time.
Last but not least, my mother will be finishing in December. She will earn a MSW.
Things are decent, they're neither good or bad. I try to stay positive and be happy.
